John Overton & Alma- LOUIE of the Week

Posted on May 3, 2010

Things have been somewhat hectic over at LOUIE Central, as I’ve been living in a virtual suitcase for the past 9 days, with internet access limited to WiFi friendly cafes and other public hot spots. As it turns out, during this little roadtrip, I was treated to an exclusive new version of LOUIE by a prominent recording artist that I’ll be sharing in the near future.

As I return to the home base in the next few days, I’ll also be reporting some other new developments that tie into the LOUIE universe.

In the meantime, I’m happy to share a rare version of LOUIE LOUIE, courtesy of Lisa Wheeler of PuebloCityLimits.com.

John Overton, a musician from Colorado, is the featured artist of a special posting over at PuebloCityLimits.com, a blog that focuses on obscure vinyl recordings of Southern Colorado. When you visit this very cool website, you can hear John’s 1987 recording of LOUIE LOUIE, recorded with the band known as “Alma.”

Congratulations, John! This version is this week’s LOUIE of the Week!
