A few weeks ago, there was a big send-off for Kent Morrill of the Fabulous Wailers. Various friends gathered for a big tribute concert in Tacoma, Washington, singing songs made popular by the Wailers, and a lot of favorite rock and roll melodies that Kent would have appreciated.
I was fortunate to attend this event, and I’m sharing some excerpts of what I shot.
Here’s the grand finale – LOUIE LOUIE as sung by Gerry Rosalie of the Sonics and Barry Curtis of the Kingsmen, along with Gail Harris on back-up vocals, an all-star horn section, and the surviving members of the Fabulous Wailers.
