The Gerbil News Network shares a poignant excerpt from former Vice President Dick Cheney‘s new autobiography.
WASHINGTON, D.C. Making the rounds of Sunday political talk shows to promote his new book “In My Time,” former Vice President Dick Cheney stood by his story that he was moved to a secure, undisclosed location following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, in order to protect the “dirty” version of the lyrics to “Louie Louie” for national security reasons.
“When that song came out I–-like a lot of other kids–-spent hours with my ear up to a cheap Radio Shack speaker, trying to decipher lyrics that I thought would unlock the meaning of life,” Cheney said on Meet the Press. “I never thought that four and a half decades later Islamofascists who can’t get laid in their own country would threaten a song that has brought so much joy to so many horny young people.”
